💡The alcohol recovery tower utilizes a distillation process to concentrate dilute alcohol to 95%–99.5%. Constructed of 304/316 stainless steel, it features energy-saving waste heat preheating of the feed and is suitable for solvent recovery in the traditional Chinese medicine extraction and chemical industries.

I. Product Introduction

Alcohol recovery towers are used to concentrate low-concentration alcohol (dilute ethanol solutions) to 95%–99% or higher through distillation, enabling the recycling of solvents and reducing production costs and environmental impact. They are widely used in alcohol recovery processes across industries such as traditional Chinese medicine extraction, chemical synthesis, and food processing.

II. How It Works

The dilute alcohol solution is heated in a preheater before entering the middle section of the distillation column; the reboiler at the bottom of the column supplies rising steam, and the condenser at the top of the column condenses the steam into a liquid. Since the boiling point of alcohol (78.3°C) is lower than that of water, the alcohol is progressively concentrated within the tower. High-concentration alcohol is obtained at the top of the tower, while wastewater containing trace amounts of alcohol is discharged from the bottom of the tower. The reflux ratio at the top of the tower can be adjusted to control the alcohol concentration.

III. Main Structural Components

✅ Preheater (utilizes heat from the top of the tower)

Recover residual heat from the condenser to preheat the feed solution, thereby reducing steam consumption.

✅ Finished Cooler

Secondary cooling of high-concentration finished alcohol facilitates storage and bottling.

Monitor the discharge concentration in real time to precisely control product specifications.

✅ Recirculation tank, finished product receiving tank

Store the reflux liquid and the qualified finished alcohol separately.
