Product Overview
A stainless steel plate-and-frame filter is a batch-type filter press consisting of alternately arranged filter plates and frames, with filter cloth sandwiched between them. It features a large filtration area and low filter cake moisture content, making it suitable for the batch production of suspensions with high solids content.
How It Works
Under pump pressure (0.3–0.6 MPa), the feed solution enters each filter frame through the feed channel; solids are retained by the filter cloth to form a filter cake, while the filtrate passes through the filter cloth and flows through the grooves in the filter plates to the outlet. After filtration is complete, loosen the clamping plate to remove the filter cake.
